Away from the international scene, we too have our local stories to share with the world. “The legacy” is an upcoming Ugandan action drama television series created by Nsubuga Lamech and directed by Hakim Hackman Bigaruka. We caught up with Lamech and he shed some light on the project. The premiere takes place tonight.
What is the ‘Legacy’ all about/ genre?
A family action drama(family power throne) where a family ‘’The Luutus’’ one of the rich families in Uganda owning a power supply company(Dez power supplies) collapses during the father’s reign because of disagreements but later his sons revive the company which later led to struggle for power.
What is your major objective?
To improve the Ugandan movie industry and in the process be able to create work for our artistes and provide the best entertainment to our fans.
In which language is the Legacy?
English is the official language having 70% while the other percentage is in other local languages of Uganda.
How many Episodes is the Legacy
The Legacy has 24 Episodes of 22 minutes each per season.
How have you planned for the launch?
We plan to launch a season series premiere with our actors, production crew, Broadcaster, partners and fans at Century Cinemax Acacia Mall from 6pm today. Ordninary tickets-20k, VIP tickets-50k.

Yes, these include; Patricko Mujuuka, Loy Kemigisha, Bwanika Phelix, Papa Daniel among others.
