NXT Radio, the organisers of the Melanin concert that was going to feature some of Africa’s finest acts in the music scene, Sauti Sol from Kenya and Nigeria’s Patoranking have confirmed that the concert is “off” due to “unavoidable circumstances.”
According to Marcus Kwikiriza, NXT Radio’s General Manager, the show has been postponed due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control.
“We shall announce another date when Melanin Concert will happen but for now, the official communication is that it’s off,” Kwikiriza said without divulging any other details.
Patoranking and Sauti Sol were slated to perform on Friday, December 21 at Cricket Oval, Lugogo alongside several Ugandan musicians but Ugandans will have to wait a bit longer for what was pitted to be the “concert if the year.”
