Kenneth Mugabi to headline the Johnnie Walker Unplugged show this weekend

Afro soul artiste Kenneth Mugabi is set to headline this month’s Johnnie Walker unplugged show that is slated for this weekend Saturday February 9, at Design Hub –5th Street Industrial Area.

The show is an intimate and up-close experience of great Ugandan singers performing in a studio-like setting.

The event that will be happening throughout the year with 19 shows will feature the soulful Mugabi for its first edition taking place at Design Hub 5th Street Industrial Area.

Mugabi tells unique stories through his music. His gifted rich voice, stage presence and his signature ‘endigidi’ (Ugandan tube fiddle) provide authentic sounds to all his performances, which throbs hearts.

Mugabi’s music is a refreshing addition to local music with ‘Naki’ being one of his fans’ favorites. He creates content that resonates with middle-aged and older music fans. The soulful performer and story teller has several singles like Nambi, Carolina, Nubuka, Naki, which all have a personal connection to his life.

The show will be kicking off at 7pm.

Tickets to the event are going for shs30,000 in advance and shs50,000 at the door, with VIP access going for sh100,000.
