Desire Luzinda has parted ways with her long-term manager Sam Yiga, after more than a decade of working together.

During an interview with a local radio station earlier today, Yiga revealed that he has parted with Desire Luzinda after reaching a mutual agreement with the singer not to renew the contract that has bounded them as a team over many years.

Yiga said that he is more than grateful for the many years him and Desire have worked together to build her brand, and said that they have gone through a lot together as a team –sometimes good stuff and sometimes bad. The promoter said sometimes the money he injected didn’t make returns, and sometimes it did, but all in all he is happy to have been part of Desire’s professional journey to this stage.

Yiga assured listeners that although Desire has not yet notified her social media of the parting (family for reasons best known to her), the agreement about the parting is something they have both already stamped.

Yiga has managed Luzinda’s career for over a decade and was with the artiste through many ups and downs of the controversial singer’s career,m most notably the 2014 nude photo saga, when he commendably protected the image of the artiste during that trying moment.

‘I have always done all sorts of strategies to see that my artiste gained music fame and went far,” Yiga said.

According to Yiga, he will remain friends with Luzinda but chooses a ‘friends with no business’ relationship.

Luzinda is yet to respond to this matter.
