RnB star YKee Benda was the star of the night during the much-anticipated grand finale of the Live at Fezah night that took place on Saturday night at the Design Hub in Bugolobi.

YKee who was performing for the first time at the monthly event left no stone unturned as he took his fans on an emotional music rollercoaster performing some of his biggest hits.

Evon also performed on the night.

He performed songs like ‘Singa’, ‘Superman, ‘Malaika’, ‘Whistle’ his collaboration with songstress Remah Namakula and “Onabayo” but it was his latest hit song “Maradona” that got revellers on their feet with many cheering on and singing along till the stroke of midnight.

The amazing soul and reggae singer Evon also took revellers on an emotional musical journey performing songs off her new album “New me now”. She took guests on a reggae journey with songs like ‘Kampala, ‘Let Life’, ‘Steps’, ‘Poor Man’s shoes’ and ‘Dub me a Dub’.

Sponsored by Johnnie Walker Highball, the platform is a monthly musical experience that showcases some of Kampala’s talented and most-admired music entertainers set in a studio-like setting that gives fans an intimate and up-close experience with their favourite artists.

Speaking to journalists during the event, Roger Agamba, UBL’s International Spirits Brand Manager professed his excitement about the show and how it has turned out.

“I cannot tell you how proud I am for what this stage has become, a space where we not only nurture authentic Ugandan music but also provide a platform for show-stopping performances like these that our consumers get to experience up close and personal,” said Agamba.

Ykee joined the number of successful artists that have performed on the Fezah stage, including Cindy, Irene Ntale, Kenneth Mugabi and most recently the soulful Lillian Mbabazi.

After over 12months of non-stop entertainment, the intimate show came to a spectacular end.

Equity Group Holdings Plc posted a 55% growth in Profit After Tax to Kshs. 75.5 billion, up from Kshs. 48.8 billion in the same reporting period in 2024, marking a record performance driven by its successful strategic transformation. The Board proposed a dividend payout of Kshs. 21.7 billion, translating to Kshs. 5.75 per share, a 35.3% increase from Kshs. 16 billion (Kshs. 4.25 per share) in 2024. Regional banking subsidiaries registered a 53% growth in profit after tax to Kshs. 36.3 billion, driven by strong performance across key markets including DRC, Uganda, and Tanzania, alongside robust loan expansion of 17% in DRC, 22% in Rwanda, and 61% in Tanzania. Diversification efforts were reinforced by strong momentum in insurance, with gross written premiums rising 75% and profit before tax increasing 36%. The Group also delivered significant social impact, investing approximately Kshs. 99.5 billion in sustainability initiatives, underscoring its continued evolution into a diversified, technology-driven pan-African financial services group.
