On December 26, Loukman Ali’s most anticipated movie The Girl in a yellow Jumper was premiered on Netflix and it became the first Ugandan film to feature on Netflix. The movie few days after release had singer Maro, the self-proclaimed RnB Kyabazinga release a song with the same title, Girl in a Yellow Jumper.

When this website contacted Maro, the singer about the song, he said that he just did it because he was proud of what Loukman Ali had done to raise the Ugandan movie industry high.

“I did the song as part of my contribution to the promo of the song,” Maro says.

He went on to say that many people thought it was the theme song but it wasn’t and besides, the producer of the movie Loukman and the producer are my friends and not forgetting most of the people who were part of the movie.

Maro said that in a bid to promote the song, he has also made the movie popular in Germany where he has currently been living after he left Uganda a few months ago.

Maro is always in and out of the country after he found two homes when he married a German woman who blessed him with a beautiful baby girl.

Maro has not been actively doing music and this year, his voice can only be attached to a few songs like Yellow Jumper produced by Eros Beats at his studio called Volume Up, Sampolo featuring Simon Bunks 13 produced by Nexo and Zuli Tums, and finally the Christmas song he did in Germany at Grenzland Records with Producer Erik Kempka.
