Greater Masaka Fete: A Celebration with A Cause

The Greater Masaka region is a hub of influential artists, leaders, creatives, and entrepreneurs, and on September 17, NTV’s Faridah Nakazibwe is bringing these influencers together for the “Greater Masaka Fete.”

On Thursday, Nakazibwe who is also the CEO of the Smile Nakazibwe Foundation launched the first edition of Greater Masaka Fete 2022.

Faridah said the celebration is aimed at bringing together the people from the Greater Masaka region to share their life journeys and success stories. The region has nine districts, Masaka city, Kalangala, Kalungu, Lyantonde, Kyotera, Bukomansimbi, Sembabule, Lwengo, and Rakai.

According to Faridah, the first event will be held in Kampala on September 17 at Lugogo Cricket Oval, whereas the second one will be staged at Masaka Recreation Grounds on September 24.

The proceeds from both events will be used to purchase dustbins in Masaka City and build public toilets in Kalangala district.

Faridah revealed that the event will be held annually and each year they will address a particular cause in the region.

“We are going to partner with leaders from the different districts in Greater Masaka. They will enable us to identify the different causes which we can help them to address,” Faridah told journalists during the launch.

Faridah also called upon all those wishing to invest in the Greater Masaka fete 2022 to reach out. Those who want to showcase their businesses were also encouraged to reach out too.

She confirmed that only talents from the region will grace the stage. Among these are Geoffrey Lutaaya, Abdu Mulaasi, Mathias Walukaaga, Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Chosen Becky, Stabua Natoro, etc.

Other entertainers include: comedians Madrat and Chiko, Dr T-amale, Suuna Ben, and Precious Remmie.
