Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi praised fellow comic Mc Mariachi as one of the best stand-up comedians who just needs to push himself and step outside of his comfort zone.

Speaking after his performance at Salvador’s Africa Laughs show on Saturday, Omondi asserted that Mc Mariachi must learn English if he wants his talent to cross borders.

“I am aware that Mc Mariachi is incredibly talented, but Napoleone Emma is truly magnificent. He (Mariachi) should learn English if he wants to succeed internationally,” he said.

Omondi also criticized the Ugandan entertainment sector, saying it was too dull for the global market. He said Ugandan celebrities are too “humble.”

“This is showbiz. We have to be very creative in order to get the attention of everyone. I urge my fellow artists not to fear stagging stunts,” he said.
