14-year-old Israella daughter of Ugandan gospel singer Myco Chris wins The Voice Kids UK

The famed The Voice Kids Music Talent show was won on Wednesday by 14-year-old Israella Chris, the daughter of Ugandan gospel musician Myco Chris.

Israella was crowned winner of The Voice Kids on Thursday by host Emma Willis, with the contestant winning a trip to the Universal Orlando Resort in Florida.

“Thank you all so much for believing in me and I really hope I made you proud,’ Israella joyfully said.

For starters, Myco has been based in the UK for over 15 years. He rose to prominence as a result of his collaborations with Zino Enaku, Radio, and Weasel.

Myco, however, turned to God and started singing gospel music. In addition to singing, he now doubles as a preacher of the word, songwriter, and producer.

In 2016, he returned to Uganda to organize a gospel concert.
