Last night, the legendary Hip Hop artist, The Mith, took the stage for his highly anticipated concert, “The Ugandan Live.” Held at the Villa, the event was a celebration of Hip Hop culture, infused with the vibrant spirit of Uganda Waragi.

Guests were greeted with a complimentary specially curated Uganda Waragi Lemon and Ginger-based cocktail on arrival.

The menu featured three unique drinks inspired by The Mith’s iconic songs and persona. Sipping on a “So UG,” “The Ugandan” or a “Lighter,” the audience was immersed into a night of unforgettable music and entertainment.

As Hillary Baguma, Uganda Breweries’ Manager of Mainstream Spirits, aptly stated The Mith’s connection with Uganda Waragi runs deep. “It’s no secret that The Mith loves Uganda Waragi and Uganda Waragi loves The Mith. We are proud to support his vision for tonight and contribute to this celebration of the Ugandan Hip Hop scene.”

Hillary also stated Uganda Breweries is eager to support such unique music experiences as he hinted at the upcoming Noise Nation concert with Dexta Daps on 14th December.

The lineup for the night was a nostalgic journey through the golden era of Ugandan Hip Hop. Ugandan Hip Hop veteran Lyrical G took the audience on a trip down memory lane with his iconic 90’s flow while acts like Pryce Teeba, Viboyo and Santana graced the stage, performing their classic hits and showcasing their latest projects..

Just before the man of the moment hit the stage. A breakout moment saw a crew of Noise Nation dancers, who have been making their way through the Kampala hangouts, set the stage ablaze with their breakdance and dancehall routines in anticipation of the upcoming concert.

As the lights dimmed and the instrumental of the Ugandan national anthem played, the crowd erupted in cheers for The Mith’s performance. Backed by the talented Double Black band, The Mith delivered a captivating set, performing songs from his extensive discography, including fan favourites like “Lighter,” “Eh Mama ” with the RnB Kyabazinga, Maro and “Go Hard.”

“The Ugandan Live” concert was a little more than a concert as it served as a toast to the rich heritage of Ugandan Hip Hop. The concert was also a family affair, with The Mith’s family friend, Senior Presidential Advisor on Industry, Amelia Kyambadde, attending alongside the artist’s parents. The heartwarming presence of family and friends added a personal touch to the event, underscoring the deep-rooted connections within the Ugandan music industry.
