As the world gears up to usher in 2025, event organisers Malembe have partnered with global renowned Tequila brand- Don Julio, to give Kampala a New Year’s Eve and New Year celebration like no other.
The 2025 countdown shall take place at the legendary Club Guvnor, the heartbeat of Kampala’s nightlife for the past three decades.
The countdown is expected to be one of the last parties to be hosted at the legendary night spot, as it prepares to wind up business for good.
We have it on good authority, that Guvnor, Malembe and Don Julio are set to pull all the stops to ensure the night club bows out in true legendary style.
Dubbed ‘The Countdown with Mexico’s Finest Tequila,’ the event is no ordinary end-of-year party, it is a historic and monumental moment for the iconic, and Uganda’s longest standing discotheque- Club Guvnor.
“Guvnor has been a sanctuary for music lovers and partygoers for years. We are excited to partner with Malembe to give it a befitting final party, and we are doing everything possible to ensure that the Countdown is a legendary fete. Expect the best Countdown Party ever, with the most beautiful set up, dazzling performances, and plenty of surprises,” said Simon Lapyem, Innovations Manager, UBL.
Lapyem also applauded Ugandans who have embraced this iconic Don Julio tequila, and have since made it a staple in their celebrations, since its introduction to the Ugandan market earlier this year.
“This year we ushered in a new era of sophistication with the introduction of the globally renowned tequila brand- Don Julio in Uganda. It’s been an incredible journey. We’ve seen an amazing response from tequila lovers and partygoers, everywhere we’ve showed up. Don Julio has become top of mind for premium celebrations, and we don’t take that for granted. Tickets to the Countdown at Club Guvnor are already on sale on Quicket. Early bird tickets are going for Shs70,000, while entrance at the door will be Shs100,000. For those looking for an elevated experience, a VIP table for five is available at Shs1.5 million.
“The Countdown with Malembe X Don Julio will be a celebration of both 2024 and the memories that Guvnor has cultivated over the years. This event is a chance to reminisce about the unforgettable moments shared at Guvnor while creating new memories to ring in 2025,” said Afsa Umutesi, Malembe.
The Countdown with Malembe X Don Julio will start at 7pm, and will feature an incredible lineup of performing acts like, DJs Anselm, DJ Bryan, Kasbaby and Etania while Timothy Code will be the host of the night, as Ugandans usher in 2025.
