Born Jocelyne Tracey Keko on June 3, 1987, in Tororo, Uganda, Keko has been a formidable force in the African music scene since her rise to fame in 2010 with the release of “Fallen Heroes.”

Her subsequent hit, “How We Do It,” dominated Kampala’s charts and gained significant airplay on MTV Africa, solidifying her status as a household name in East Africa.

But there’s so much more to her than the hits. This Conversessions episode promises to show us the real Keko, the visionary artiste, the dreamer, and the survivor who has returned to the spotlight stronger than ever.

Having recently returned to Uganda after years in the diaspora, Keko will be telling it all. Fans can expect an unfiltered dive into her journey, from dominating the charts to facing personal challenges in Canada and finding her way back to where it all began.

This season of Tusker Malt Conversessions dives deep “Behind the Craft”, a theme that resonates not just with the artistes it features but also with the Tusker Malt brand itself.

According to Elizabeth Mutamuliza, Head of Beer, UBL, the brand is rooted in authenticity and craftsmanship whether in brewing the perfect beer or working with artistes who passionately pour into their work to create music that moves the soul.

“The magic of Tusker Malt Conversessions lies in its ability to blend music and storytelling into a seamless experience. Just like the rich, crisp flavour of Tusker Malt, this season promises to deliver stories that linger, performances that captivate, and a celebration of the artistry behind every craft,” she said.

“This season opener with Keko will take us through her life’s highs and lows while also revealing the raw and authentic personality behind her celebrated career. You can expect unheard stories, an exclusive and spectacular performance as well as a splash of inspiration from your all-time favourite hip-hop artiste,” she added.

After two incredible seasons, Tusker Malt Conversessions is stepping up the game for Season 3. With a fresh lineup of iconic artistes and a renewed focus on authentic storytelling and craftsmanship, this season promises to be the best yet. Each episode will continue to showcase Kampala’s brightest stars in intimate settings.
