Ugandan music legend Moses Ssali, popularly known as Bebe Cool, has officially handed over a newly constructed house to Bridgette Mirembe Namiyigo, a talented young TikToker, in Kyeguluuso Village, Mubende District.

This generous act follows Bebe Cool’s announcement on October 25, 2024, that proceeds from his annual Tondeka E Kiwatule Boxing Day event would go towards building a house for Bridgette and her family.

The announcement also came with a rebranding of the concert’s name from Tondeka E Kiwatule to Tondeka E Kiwatule Tuzimbire Bridgette Enyumba.

The initiative was spearheaded by Bebe Cool’s charity arm, the Amber Heart Foundation.

The artist—who is set to release his new album Break The Chains on May 30—stated that giving back to those in need has always been his passion. After seeing the talented five-year-old Bridgette preaching the gospel on TikTok, he felt compelled to make a positive impact on her life and that of her family.

Little Bridgette, her younger sibling Ruth, and their mother had been living in a dilapidated semi-detached house, which Bridgette humorously referred to as “Geyeena” (hell) in many of her skits.

But all that is now history. Bridgette and her family’s new home is a three-bedroom house situated on a 100-by-100 ft (25 decimals) plot of land.

In addition to the house, Bebe Cool provided household items including a master bed, beds for eight children, a sofa set, a center table, 10 mattresses, and beddings.

Construction of the house began on January 3, 2025, and its completion was made possible through the collective efforts of Bebe Cool, his fans, and various partners who contributed to the cause.

Speaking at the handover ceremony in Mubende District, Bebe Cool thanked his fans who attended the Tondeka E Kiwatule Tuzimbire Bridgette Enyumba concert, as well as the different partners that supported the initiative.

“I’m grateful to everyone who contributed to this initiative,” he said. “I thank Allah for enabling me to do this. Thank you to everyone who attended the Tondeka E Kiwatule Tuzimbire Bridgette Enyumba concert. Thank you Century Property Real Estates Uganda Limited, Erianah Hardware–Mubende, and DT Solar.”

“This achievement demonstrates that every small act counts, and sharing the little we have can bring joy and fulfillment. I’m thankful to all who gave and continue to give, and I pray that Allah blesses you abundantly,” Bebe Cool added.

The handover ceremony was attended by dozens of locals and visitors, including political and church leaders, who gathered to witness the singer fulfill his promise to young Bridgette.

Pastor Everest Arinaitwe of Prayer Valley Ministry, speaking on behalf of Bridgette’s family, thanked the music star for his generosity—not only for the house, but for bringing hope to the family and the village.

“We thank Bebe Cool for his golden heart. He has not only built a home for Bridgette, but has given us hope as a village. He has given Bridgette not just shelter, but dignity and peace of mind,” he said.

Bebe Cool’s commitment to giving back to the community has made a significant impact over the years, showcasing the power of kindness and generosity.

His charitable work includes participation in the late Nelson Mandela’s 46664 campaign, advocacy in the fight against HIV/AIDS, his role as a Tuberculosis (TB) ambassador, and involvement in numerous social justice campaigns.

For Bridgette and her family, the new home marks the beginning of a new chapter. It will provide them with a safe and secure environment, allowing them to focus on their future and pursue their dreams.
