Jamaican dancehall queen Spice, real name Grace Latoya Hamilton, has officially cancelled her much-anticipated Ugandan performance.

Spice had been slated to headline a massive concert on December 6 at the Lugogo Cricket Oval, sharing the stage with Ugandan stars Winnie Nwagi, Cindy Sanyu, and Sheebah Karungi. Organisers had been actively building hype, promising a vibrant and unforgettable event.

However, the excitement took an unexpected turn when Spice posted a statement on her social media announcing that she will not be performing in Uganda after all.

According to the singer, the promoter failed to meet the agreed-upon terms of her contract.

In her announcement, she expressed both disappointment and affection for her Ugandan supporters:

“ATTENTION!!! I will not be attending this event in Uganda on December 6th. I was truly excited and looking forward to meeting my brothers and sisters there, but unfortunately, the promoter did not fulfill the contractual agreements.”
