The StarTimes Kampala Kids Run is back

It s that time of the year when kids run for a cause, the sixth edition of the StarTimes Kampala Kids Run themed Safe drinking water in primary schools is slated to take place on Sunday December 8, 2019 at the Uganda Museum.

The proceeds from the run will go to acquiring water tanks that will be provided to schools in rural areas so that the children there can have access to safe drinking water.

A line up of games like bouncing castles, face painting, and PlayStation video games will be available for children to enjoy. Children will also be entertained by young talents Triple S, The Challenger, and Lady Shami.

Top schools in the city like Kampala Parents School, Lohana Academy Primary School –Namirembe road, Sir Apollo Kagwa Primary School – Najjera, Delhi Public School and Kampala Junior Academy are on board to ensure that the event is successful.

The Cheshire Services Uganda – an NGO for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) have also pledged their support and will have some of their children with disabilities getting involved in the Kids’ Run.

Little science geniuses from e2 Young Engineers Uganda will showcase and teach fellow kids some practical skills in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).

The kits that cost Shs20,000 are sold in different selected places across the city that include StarTimes branches, The Food Hub, Capital Shoppers – Ntinda, and Mystery Lane – Acacia Mall. Children that purchase the kits stand a chance of winning a free horse ride at Speke Resort Muyonyo.

The 6th edition of the Kampala Kids run is proudly sponsored by StarTimes Classic Bouquet, The Food Hub, City Oil, Riham, UMC Hospitals, and Ruparelia Foundation.
