With only days left to the Miss Uganda grand finale, Ugandans are yet to celebrate the new Miss Uganda queen who will be crowned this Saturday, October 10, at the Sheraton Hotel Kampala.

The grand finale, powered by Uganda’s favourite sherry, V&A, will be marking a major milestone since the new queen will be crowned at the same time the Miss Uganda foundation is celebrating 15 years of empowering young women.

“As V&A Sherry, we are always proud to be a part of platforms that empower women. Being a sorority that empowers one another, we are proud of all the young women who had the ambition and the confidence to dream beyond boundaries; and participate in this year’s pageant. May the best girl win because as V&A we are rooting for you all. Give the grand finale your best,” said Roy Ronald Tumwizere, Brand Manager for V&A Sherry at Uganda Breweries Limited.

This Saturday, 22 finalists will put everything on the line as they compete to become the next Miss Uganda. Throughout the competition, contestants have been trained on matters such as leadership, building confidence, advocacy, and personal development, reflecting Miss Uganda’s mantra of Beauty with a Purpose.
