The second edition of the Baby and Kids Expo is set to take place from May 10th to 12th at the UMA Show Grounds, Lugogo.

The three-day event, first held in 2016, will be under the theme “Inspiring Children’s Health, Skills, Learning, and Parenting.”

Speaking during the media launch of the second edition, the National Children Authority Executive Director, Kiiza Martin, explained the value of guarding family values for a better society.

“We must value that unit. When you go wrong within the family, you go wrong in everything you do. That is why you find violence, child neglect, and abandonment among other issues in society. This means we need to fully appreciate the child as a holistic human being and protect that child. We shouldn’t take the family for granted,” Kiiza said.

According to Joweria Nabuuma, Managing Director of Kiara Events Limited, the Baby & Kids Expo is not just an event but a journey into the heart of family dynamics, offering a wide range of activities, knowledge-sharing sessions, and access to services and products designed to improve children’s lives. She said that the expo is a one-stop center for nurturing talent and health practices.

“This year, we’re aiming to elevate the experience for our attendees, providing a platform for families to connect, learn, and play together in a way that’s both educational and fun,” Nabuuma said.

The expo, organized by Kiara Events in collaboration with Kids Nook, Capital One Group, KBS TV, Belly Ballot, Bora Minds, and Mama Tendo among others, promises to be a beacon of inspiration for children’s health, skills, learning, and parenting.

It also serves as a crucial platform for exhibitors to interact directly with their audience, offering insights and special deals on a plethora of products for babies, kids, and expectant mothers.

Tickets will go for Shs10,000 for adults and Shs5,000 for kids/babies.
