On Sunday, The Budo League saw a massive turnout as fans flocked in large numbers to catch their favourite teams in action for Match Day 11 of Season 7.

The excitement was intense, not just for the football matches on pitch at Legends Rugby Club, but also in anticipation of the final match day of the English Premier League (EPL), set to kick off later that evening.

From the first whistle, the pitch buzzed with energy as teams battled it out, each inevitably contending for a desired spot at the top of the leaderboard.

However, Rickman’s performance was the highlight of the night for most.

The artiste took the stage and serenaded the crowd with his most popular songs like “Ayizulu,” “Naki,” “Okilinamu Obuzibu,” and “Bango,” with the highlight of his set being “Tunyumirwe,” a club banger which had the crowd dancing and singing along.

Reflecting on the success of the day, The Budo League President, Akampa Aaron expressed his pride and excitement.

“We still have a long way to go, however, we are excited for what is yet to come. So far, our match days have been filled with incredible moments and energy. Each season brings new energy and passion, and this year is no different. We also give thanks to our sponsor, Guinness, for making these events even more special,” said Akampa.

As the night unfolded, it became clear why The Budo League has continued to collect such a dedicated following: the passion of the players, the enthusiasm of the fans, the competitive spirit and the entertainment all contribute to a spectacular day and unforgettable experience.

“The blend of sports and entertainment has become a hallmark of The Budo League, offering fans the perfect way to unwind and relax after a day of intense football. It is something most of the fans look forward to and Guinness is absolutely dedicated to delivering more of the best experiences all Season long,” said Patience Aguti, Project Manager, UBL.

With more artists lined up for the remaining five match days, the league promises to keep the excitement alive all season long.
