Kicking off 2025 with a bang, the first Daycation Brunch series brought together eye-catching fashion, mouthwatering Don Julio cocktails, and an unforgettable vibe. If you weren’t at Silo 15 on Sunday, you missed out on what’s already shaping up to be the brunch series of the year!

Since the launch of the series last year, Silo 15 in partnership with Don Julio Tequila, have been redefining brunch culture in Kampala.

The venue was an Instagram dream. A plush carpet rolled out the welcome for every guest, while the upgraded photobooth was the star of the show. Last year’s setup? Forget about it. This was next-level sophistication, and everyone was talking about it.

The order of the day? Show up at midday, and Kampala’s brunch crowd did not disappoint. Guests arrived early and set the tone for a full day of laughter, mingling, and sun-soaked fun with friends.

From clinking glasses to endless photo ops, the energy was unmatched. Smiles were everywhere, and cameras captured every glamorous moment.

Music was the heartbeat of the day. Kicking things off, the band delivered smooth, soulful vibes that made for the perfect brunch backdrop.

They performed some smooth jazz and lounge music and turned it up a notch with acoustic covers of modern hits by artists like Ed Sheeran, Adele, Alicia Keys, Beyonce and more.

But when Selector Jay, DJ Kaddu, and DJ Melvyn hit the decks, things got fiery. All DJs played a mix of the old-school classics to today’s hottest hits and a bit of Amapiano.

Of course, no brunch is complete without the drinks and Don Julio brought its A-game. Zesty margaritas, refreshing tequila spritzers, and other perfectly crafted cocktails kept the vibe cool and the glasses clinking.

Simon Lapyem, Innovations Manager at UBL summed it up best saying, “As Don Julio, we’re all about creating moments that people will talk about for weeks and months. This series is our way of bringing people together to enjoy amazing vibes, unforgettable cocktails, and pure fun. We can’t wait to bring you more Sundays like this.”

Meanwhile, Silo 15’s Manager Brenda Kisa also shared her excitement, “Seeing so many people show up and embrace the brunch culture is amazing.

These Sundays are quickly becoming a tradition, and we’re proud to lead the way in creating a fun, stylish, and memorable experience for everyone.”

If the first brunch of 2025 is any indication, we’re in for an epic year ahead. So, mark your calendars, book the date with friends, and don’t miss the next one.
