I&M Bank Uganda, on Wednesday, 19 February 2025, conducted five blood donation activations, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, aimed at further boosting the national blood bank and help save lives.

In partnership with Uganda Blood Transfusion Services (UBTS), the bank conducted blood donation drives at its Head Office at Kingdom Kampala, Kawempe Branch, Entebbe Branch, Jinja Branch, and Arua Branch.

A total of 135 units of blood were collected from the I&M Bank Kawempe, Entebbe, Arua, Jinja, and Kingdom Kampala branches.

Both the bank staff and community members actively participated in the exercise, showing support, but also helping to make an impact to the grander health system of the country.

I&M Bank Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Annette Nakiyaga, said that the blood donation drive is a great way for the bank to give back to the community, as well as boost the health care system.

“At I&M Bank, we believe in giving back to the community in meaningful ways. Supporting blood donation drives is one way we can help make a difference in people’s lives. We all know how vital blood is in saving victims of accidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations” Nakyaga said.

In the recent past, I&M Bank conducted both a blood donation drive and complimentary eye check-ups, as part of its efforts to support the health sector and better the well-being of the community.

Last month, the bank partnered with the Kabaka Foundation for the Tubeere Balamu Community Health Camp, where thousands of people received free health education, medical check-ups, treatment, and had the opportunity to donate blood.
