Equity Bank concluded its transformative “Abakyala Ku Ntiiko” initiative with a highly impactful session at the Kiboga District Local Government Main Hall on Friday, March 29. The event, themed “Accelerating Action for Prosperity in Business,” brought together women entrepreneurs, financial experts, and community leaders for a day of financial literacy training, networking, and trade exhibitions—empowering women to thrive in business.

Speaking at the event, Lambert Kusemererwa, Manager of Equity Bank’s Kiboga Branch, reaffirmed the bank’s dedication to supporting women in business. “Women are the backbone of our communities, and when they are financially empowered, families and societies flourish. Equity Bank is committed to equipping them with the skills, financial tools, and opportunities they need to succeed,” he said.

The event featured a series of impactful activities, including a mini trade exhibition where women entrepreneurs showcased their businesses, expanding their market reach and networking with potential customers and partners. A financial literacy training session equipped attendees with essential money management skills such as budgeting, saving, and smart borrowing strategies to grow their businesses sustainably. Panel discussions featured successful female entrepreneurs who shared their journeys, offering valuable insights and inspiration to aspiring businesswomen. Participants also had the opportunity to open business accounts on-site, gaining access to tailored financial solutions designed to support their entrepreneurial growth.
