The fire is back and the flavours are even bolder than ever. The highly anticipated culinary competition, Chef Versus, makes its grand return on April 18th, 2025 at Salama Springs, promising guests a one-of-a-kind daytime dining and lifestyle experience.

Known for merging the art of fine dining with the thrill of live chef battles, Chef Versus has become a fun-loving event for Uganda’s food lovers, whisky enthusiasts, and culture seekers alike.

This April edition features a showdown between two heavyweights in Uganda’s meat game; Chef Nziza Pitmasters, and Chef Sam from The Meat Guy. The two have sharpened their knives sharpened, and will bring their A-game for a sizzling face-off. Each chef will serve a three-course gourmet menu, that’s not only delicious, but also infused with The Singleton and paired with a curated bottle of the single malt whisky.

While the chefs fire up the grills, the entertainment will keep the energy high and the vibes flowing.

DJ Anselm and DJ Kasbaby will be on the decks spinning his signature vibes, while the incredible Double Black band will entertain attendees with a live music performance. Simply put, the event is expected to be the perfect blend of rhythm, flavour, and style.

According to Christine Kyokunda, Singleton Brand Manager, “Chef Versus is a lifestyle event that food lovers and whisky connoisseurs have enjoyed for a while now. Many people now know that this event is the perfect companion for culinary exploration.  We are proud to be a part the story telling. Chef Versus is our way of bringing people together to savour flavour and celebrate every single moment.”

Expect a beautifully curated outdoor setting, interactive chef presentations, a food & whisky journey like no other, and a crowd of like-minded flavour-seekers.

Past editions of Chef Versus have left guests raving – not just about the food, but the full experience: the ambience, the music, the perfectly paired Singleton sips, and of course- the thrilling chef battles that keep everyone on the edge of their seat (and fork in hand).

Guests will have the rare opportunity to enjoy a full fine-dining experience including all meals, a bottle of Singleton, and access to a vibrant atmosphere curated for Uganda’s growing community of food and drink connoisseurs.
