Kampala’s sports and entertainment scene has received a new addition with the official launch of The Dugout, a premium venue bringing live sports, interactive games, food, drinks and entertainment together under one roof.
Located on Plot 28, Luthuli Rise in Bugolobi, The Dugout was officially unveiled during a colourful launch that attracted sports enthusiasts, celebrities, influencers, media personalities, business leaders and members of Kampala’s social scene.
The venue, which describes itself as “Your Home of Champions”, is designed to offer sports fans more than just a place to watch their favourite teams in action.
Guests can enjoy live sporting events alongside a specially curated food and drinks menu, while also taking part in a range of interactive in-house games. The venue is also positioning itself as a destination for casual outings, pre-game meet-ups, team-building activities, networking and viewing major sporting events.
The official launch gave guests a taste of what The Dugout has in store. The evening featured entertainment, interactive games, live predictions, prizes and other sporting experiences, creating a lively atmosphere for those in attendance.
One of the proprietors said the idea behind the venue was to create a space where sports lovers can feel a strong sense of belonging.
“We wanted to create a place where sports lovers feel at home — a place where every match feels like an event and every guest feels like part of the team,” the proprietor said.
With the football season, AFCON and several other major sporting events on the horizon, The Dugout is aiming to establish itself as one of Kampala’s leading destinations for sports, entertainment, networking and unique interactive experiences.
