A diverse crowd of hundreds of guests gathered at Summer Stage in Central Park, New York last night, for the premiere of “Bobi Wine: The People’s President,” a documentary chronicling the remarkable journey of National Unity Platform (NUP) President, Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine.

The event, which was jointly organized by Rooftop Films and National Geographic Films, was graced by the presence of Bobi Wine himself, who was accompanied by his wife, Barbie Kyagulanyi, and their children. Additionally, Nubian Li, an integral part of Bobi Wine’s life and journey, was also present, adding to the excitement of the evening.

Directed by Moses Bwayo and Christopher Sharp, the documentary offers a captivating narrative, tracing Bobi Wine’s humble beginnings in the Kamwokya slum and his rise to prominence as an influential political figure and celebrated artist. It serves as an inspiring testament to his unwavering determination and resilience in overcoming obstacles throughout his life.
