Uganda Cranes face the last test in preparation for AFCON with three days left to kick off. Cranes face 2015 AFCON champions Ivory Coast in a game that will boost their confidence.

With similar heavyweights Ghana, Mali and Egypt as Cranes’ Group D opponents at AFCON, today’s game will be more than a friendly. Goalkeeper Denis Onyango is expected to feature in this game after being on the sidelines for a month due to a thigh injury. On record Cranes has  faced Ivory Coast twice attaining one draw and losing the other.

Cranes has played two major competitive friendly games, losing the first one 2-0 against Tunisia. But they bounced back from the defeat by winning 3-1 against European side Slovakia. After today’s game, Cranes will jet off to Gabon, Port Gentil.
