It is not funny as Amarula Family comedian, Kapere, real name Yokana Mbuuse has decided to call it quits with his live-in partner Lillian Muyiira.
Kapere threw out the woman from his home in Makindye, Madirisa Zone, at 1am on Monday night claiming she is high maintenance.
The two have been living together for two years and Lillian says that when they got together, Kapere didn’t even have a bed but she has upgraded him and wants her things back.
She went to Clock Tower Police station seeking Police intervention to recover money she has spent on “building” him, because she was stranded and didn’t even have transport back to Jinja.
She also claims Kapere is a violent and abusive man who beat her up when she was two months pregnant, leading to a miscarriage.
“He had the guts to claim I had aborted after beating me up so badly,” she told Police.
She claims the comedian doesn’t take care of her. “He only leaves Shs3,000 for food and he tells me he should find some balance,” she said.
The two met in Jinja when Amarula had a show there. Even if most women look at Kapere as unattractive, Lillian chose to look beyond his facial deficiencies and focused on his celebrity status.
But now she says celebrities are not what people think they are, and that she was shocked to find the “celebrity” Kapere didn’t even have a bed when they met.
“You just see celebrities, but you don’t know how they actually live,” she said.
Kapere says he has had enough of her because she is demanding and a glutton. “I want her out of my place. I don’t want anything to do with her. I earn little but I spend it all on this woman. She should just leave me alone.”
