Over the weekend, we received news that Masaka tycoon Emmanuel Kaweesa aka Lwasa had been poisoned. It was later confirmed by medics at Case Clinic in Kampala that he had eaten a sizable amount of poison, but they said he was out of danger.

Well, we can reliably confirm that the tycoon was earlier this week flown to Dubai for what some people explained as ‘more efficient and expert medication.’

However, a close family member told us that Lwasa was flown to the Emirates, in order to get him away from possible further harm from whoever might have wanted him dead.

Lwasa is a household name in Masaka; besides owning several buildings in Masaka town, the tycoon owns the new plush Club Tavern Kick, Lwasa Events and Lwasa Gardens in Kyabakuza.  He is known for his fleet of sleek rides valued at more than Shs1bn.
