NTV star Douglas Lwanga is set to bring back his annual Purple Party where it started: Kampala! The party, now in its fifth year, will not be returning to the little-known Bulldog bar however (does it even still exist?), but rather the Uganda Museum gardens in Kamwokya. And the news is that the event promises a lineup of over 200 entertainers. According to Douglas, the 200 include top musicians, comedians and MCs from different parts of the country.

Among those performing are leading entertainers like Bebe Cool, Chameleone, Winnie Nwagi, Irene Ntale, King Saha, Gravity, Sheebah, Navio, Bobi Wine, as well as comedians like Salvado, Alex Muhangi and many more. And unlike earlier versions, this particular one will also involve attending with children, hence making it a family affair. Entrance to the Purple Party is Shs20k and gates open from as early as midday. Matooke Republic is proud to be the official print media partner of the Purple Party 2016.
