While several artistes have joined Bobi Wine’s campaign team as he vies for the Kyadondo East MP seat, former right handman man Buchaman has used the opportunity to resurface on the scene, but in a rival camp.

Butchaman who was Bobi Wine’s right hand man and also once “Vice President” of the Firebase music crew headed by Bobi Wine has joined the campaign for FDC’s Apollo Kantinti to defeat his former boss and singing mate.

Former BBC presenter Alan Kasujja appointed Uganda Media Centre Executive Director

Buchaman and FDC’s Kantinti on the campaign trail.

He is rallying voters to stay clear of Bobi Wine. According to our sources, he is warning the residents of Kyadondo East constituency that “If they fall for what he termed as ” Bobi Wine’s smooth talk”, their condition will be worse than his.

For starters, Buchaman had a bitter split with his former boss Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine whom he accused of manipulation and crippling his music career.

He stated that he toiled while Bobi enjoyed the fruits of his labour. Buchaman is said to be wallowing in poverty in the slums of Kampala as he struggles to revive his music career.

The singer is best remembered for his “Lwaki Temumatiira” hit.

Kyadondo East goes to the polls on June 29. The MP seat fell vacant after court through out incumbent Kantinti over electoral irregularities following a petition by NRM’s Sitenda Sebalu who is also in the race.

If the crowds that attend his rallies are anything to go by, Bobi Wine is the frontrunner in this race.
