Lira Municipality MP and son to former President Dr Milton Obote, Jimmy Akena has been largely quiet as the age limit debate rages on, despite heading a party that for a long time didn’t see eye to eye with NRM. But we have just discovered how Akena has been spending his time as fellow MPs shouted their voices hoarse and exchanged blows over the age limit debate: he had gone shopping for a luxurious motor bike and the legislator immediately joined the Uganda Bikers Association!

We were equally astonished when a group of bikers parked at City Oil filling station in Kamwokya and on taking off their helmets, we couldn’t fail to recognise the grey-haired Lira municipality legislator as one of them. We were informed by a source that Akena, who was fully dressed in red riding gear, joined the group of bikers for a charity ride across several towns in East Africa preaching about cancer. Great cause Hon. Akena, but we are waiting to hear from you on the age limit debate soon!
