Ugandan promoters behind fake negative Wizkid tweets

When Wizkid twitted that he would come to Uganda sometime this year, many were excited and they were quick to share screenshots of his tweet. The same happened when he finally tweeted that he had zeroed down on December 7 as the date he will stage his concert in Uganda.

However, a few days later, screenshots of ‘tweets’ supposedly by Wizkid, threatening to change his mind and changing dates have since been spreading like a wild fire. First, a tweet indicating that Wizkid was tired of Ugandans dissing him and that he had another show in Cameroon on the same date!

When we dug a little deeper, an official at Face TV who insisted their identity remains anonymous for their not allowed to officially speak for this particular project, ‘the ‘fake tweets’ are works of local promoters that have shows lined up around the same time as the Wizkid show’. The source reassured us Wizkid is set to perform in Kampala, at the Lugogo Cricket Oval.
