After emerging Uganda’s Best Female disc spinner at the recently concluded UG Mix Maestro DJ competitions finale, Francheska Nyakaisiki aka Dj Xzyl might be headed for bigger things.
We just got wind of news that Dj Xzyl recently got a nod in a continental female DJ awards competition– the Africa Top Female Deejay Awards, in which tens of leading female deejays across the continent were nominated.
Unfortunately we landed on the news after voting was closed over the weekend, but we learnt that Dj Xzyl’s employers Sanyu FM extensively used their platforms and engaged the station’s fans to vote for her. The awards ceremony is slated for December and will be held in Nairobi, Kenya. All the best Dj Xzyl!
