A couple in Kenya from Bahati, Nakuru County due for marriage has reportedly gone into hiding after their pastor cancelled their wedding at the last minute.
The pastor instructed Joyce Waithera and Paul Waithaka, the couple that were set to walk down the aisle to take a HIV test.
However, when the test results came out, the pastor cancelled the wedding. According to reports, the pastor , a one Jesse Karanja, even went as far as calling the police to drive the couple’s guests out of the church compound.
The bride and groom could not bear the embarrassment and decided to stay away from the premises leaving the guests to feast on the food before leaving.
A church elder was later recorded saying the Mizpah House of Prayer does not tolerate immorality and proclaims a life of purity.
