Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has lashed out at the Police for failing to protect local artiste Bebe Cool as he was being pelted with bottles during Cindy’s Boom Party Concert on Saturday.

In a Monday morning tweet, the First Son wondered how and why Police failed to intercept ‘hooligans’ who were throwing the bottles.

“How could Police and the bouncers at Cindy’s Concert allow a few hooligans to hurl bottles at one of Uganda’s greatest artists?” Muhoozi asked in a tweet.

Muhoozi added: “The same hooligans beat up women (on Women’s Day) for simply loving Museveni and Bebe Cool. We expect a lot better next time from the Police.”

On Saturday night, Bebe Cool was performing at Cindy’s Boom Party Concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval when he was booed and told to get off stage over his loyalty to President Museveni and the ruling National Resistance Movement.

As he persisted, several individuals hurled plastic bottles at him, some empty, others full of urine.

This is not the first time Bebe Cool is being attacked on stage since he started mobilizing supporters for Museveni. In 2018, Bebe Cool was pelted with bottles at the same venue during his Swangz All-Stars concert performance that featured Tarrus Riley. The singer decided to suspend performances until further notice.

Other artistes who have in the past been attacked on stage include Catherine Kusasira, Full Figure, and Big Eye.
