‘Trending’ artist Alien Skin, real name Patrick Mulwana has urged social media users to refrain from entangling him and his Fangone Forest camp in political matters.

Earlier this week, Alien Skin released a video in which he expressed a desire for a song collaboration and a bulletproof car from President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. He also extended an invitation to Museveni to come and visit the ghettos.

However, Alien’s statements were met with scepticism from netizens aligned with Bobi Wine’s National Unity Platform (NUP). They interpreted his remarks as an attempt to ridicule Bobi Wine.

During an interview a live video on social media this morning, Alien Skin clarified his stance saying that he does not subscribe to any political party or movement.

“NUP supporters accusing me of betrayal, I ask: how have I betrayed you? What commitments did I make? And who declared Fangone Forest a branch of NUP?” questioned Alien Skin.

Reflecting on a past event, Alien Skin recounted his conversation with Promoter Abitex when organizing Sitya Danger Concert in June this year. He said that Abitex suggested that they meet Bobi Wine to promote the show.

“I chose not to approach Bobi Wine for support when I arranged my show at Freedom City. Promoter Abitex proposed that we seek Bobi Wine’s assistance, but I declined. I wanted to ensure that my success was attributed to my own merits, without relying on Bobi Wine’s influence. I had confidence in myself, knowing that my supporters were firmly in my corner,” he said.
