Ugandan BBC journalist Nancy Kacungira has announced the birth of her baby.

Nancy, who previously worked with NTV Uganda, revealed to her followers that the reason she has been off their screens is that she’s on maternity leave.

She further disclosed that she welcomed her newborn four weeks ago.

“These little fingers are why you won’t be seeing me on your screens for a while. I finally got to meet the hands that were punching me under the anchor’s desk now and then. It still feels surreal that almost 41 weeks of pregnancy went by so fast, and our little boy is here now and four weeks old already. We couldn’t be more in love!” Nancy captioned the photo of the baby’s fingers.

Nancy and her husband, Gabriel, officially got married in February last year.

Many have congratulated Nancy and Gabriel on their new bundle of joy.
