Swangz Avenue singer Elijah Kitaka has responded to critics of his unique fashion sense, saying that he remains unfazed by public opinion.

“I see what people say, but it doesn’t bother me. Let them talk. All I will say is that I’m not mad. A mad person wouldn’t be appearing on national TV, doing interviews, and living the way I do,” Kitaka said in an interview.

Known for introducing a distinct style especially the ‘Kitaka shorts’, Kitaka’s fashion choices have sparked debate among fans and critics alike.

However, he remains steadfast in his vision, stating that his goal is to leave a lasting legacy while inspiring young people to embrace diverse styles.

“I want to do fashion alongside music, and who knows? In the years to come, I might be modeling in Paris,” he said.

The Ekyange hitmaker said he’s confident in both his identity and artistic expression.
