Singer Bebe Cool, real name Moses Ssali, has been with his wife Zuena Kirema for over two decades — and now, he’s opened up about how he knew she was the one.

While interacting with fans at Bride and Groom Expo held at UMA Multipurpose Hall in Lugogo on Sunday, the power couple gave attendees a rare glimpse into their love story, and Bebe Cool didn’t hold back.

Revealing the moment he realized Zuena was his soulmate, Bebe Cool said, “On our very first date, I ordered two plates of food. I took my time eating, but she finished hers — and then ate mine too! That’s when I knew she was my wife. She was straightforward from the start — no games, just real.”

But their love story wasn’t just about food. Bebe Cool shared how Zuena helped shape his life in more ways than one. “I used to spend money on drinking and eating while living at my sister’s place. Zuena asked, ‘Can’t we use some of that money to rent a better place?’ That question changed everything. She’s truly helped me grow.”

Their relationship, now blessed with five children — three sons (Alpha Thierry, Caysan, and Deen Ozil) and two daughters (Beata and the youngest, Eman) — has stood the test of time, and Bebe Cool attributes much of that to the sacrifices they’ve made.

“Zuena gave me a sense of responsibility,” he confessed. “I couldn’t get home past midnight — unless I was with her. I chose to give her that power. At home, I’m Moses Ssali. Outside, I’m Bebe Cool. Those sacrifices in love are necessary.”

And if you thought winning over her family was hard, think again. “Zuena’s parents accepted me just the way I was — shabby with rasta dreads — and still gave me their daughter. That acceptance meant everything.”

After over 20 years together, Bebe Cool’s heartfelt confessions prove that love, when nurtured with honesty, growth, and shared dreams, truly does stand the test of time.
