Self-proclaimed King Herself, Cindy Sanyu, has revealed that she is steering clear of performing at political rallies—no matter how attractive the offers may be.

Cindy says her choice is driven by loyalty to her fans. Over the years, her music has drawn listeners from all political backgrounds: some supporting one side, others supporting the opposite, and many who prefer to remain neutral.

“I have fans on both sides, and others who are neutral,” she said. “My fans mean more to me than any amount of money offered at rallies.”

For Cindy, safeguarding her brand is just as important. She emphasises that earning a respected place in the music industry has taken over 20 years of dedication, consistency, and public trust—something she has no intention of risking.

“My brand means everything. People have looked up to me for years, and I don’t want to disappoint any of them,” she added.

Cindy also noted that politics can easily influence people’s emotions and viewpoints.

“They can influence how you think because everyone believes they’re right from where they stand,” she said.
