Ugandan gospel star Benard Feni, popularly known as Mungu Feni, has captured public attention after making an extraordinary decision to prioritise family over comfort and cost.
The House of the Lord hitmaker reportedly chartered a private aeroplane from Dubai to Uganda after missing his scheduled flight, determined to return home in time to celebrate New Year’s Eve with his family. Mungu Feni had been in Dubai on a business trip when he failed to catch his flight, news that disappointed his loved ones back home.
According to sources close to the singer, the situation deeply affected him, especially after his child reminded him of a promise to be together as the year ended. Rather than delay his return, the gospel artist chose to make personal sacrifices to honour that commitment.
Speaking about the experience, Mungu Feni said keeping his word to his family mattered more than anything else. He explained that although the decision was costly, it was worth it to see his child happy and to celebrate the New Year together.
The New Year’s Eve celebration, sources say, will be a quiet and private affair, centred on family bonding and creating meaningful memories rather than attending public events or lavish parties.
Beyond music, Mungu Feni is also recognised as a successful entrepreneur and the founder of Euro Gold. Admirers often praise him for balancing faith, family and business while remaining grounded.
