Government yesterday confirmed that State minister for Primary Healthcare, Dr Joyce Moriku Kaducu, will be flown to Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi for advanced treatment.

This follows the deteriorating health conditions of the minister who has now been bedridden for the past weeks at the International Hospital Kampala (IHK).  While addressing media, state minister for General duties stated that in the past few days fellow minister Ms Moriku developed breathing complications and had to be put on life support machine at the IHK.

“Dr Kaducu is being managed at the Intensive Care Unit at IHK. She will be airlifted for better treatment at Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi tomorrow (today),” Ms Opend said.

“We have not gotten a proper brief on her diagnosis. She developed hardships with her breathing on Sunday of the previous week when doctors were still investigating her illness,” she added.
