Entebbe Grade B Hospital has discharged 47 people who have recovered from COVID-19, making it the highest number of people to be discharged in a single day from one facility ever since Uganda recorded its first case on March 21.

The 47 truck drivers were admitted at Entebbe Hospital on the same day and have been discharged after 17 days in the hospital. The facility is now left with 64 patients who are also expected to be discharged soon.

Dr Henry Mwebesa, the Director General Health Services at the Ministry of Health applauded the health workers for the continued efforts to save lives and promised that the Ministry will support them with all the necessary equipment. He also assured them that they will regularly receive their allowances on time.
