City pastor Franklin Mondo Mugisha is one of the latest Ugandan popular figures to test positive for the deadly COVID-19 pandemic. The pastor is currently in self-isolation and undergoing treatment at his home in Seguku, Entebbe road.

“Doctors took my samples and results confirmed that I have coronavirus, but I am getting better and I am undergoing treatment,” says Mondo. He continues to reveal that has been down for the last four days with the coronavirus.

The pastor explains that he thinks he contracted the coronavirus while in detention at Wandegeya Police Station where he spent a night after being arrested for his alleged involvement in a Shs4.5 billion fraud case with jailed Pastor Sirajje Ssemanda of Revival Church Bombo.

Mondo was granted police bond and his house was searched by the Lt. Col. Edith Nakalema-led State House Anti-Corruption Unit. He claimed that nothing was found at his house which pins him in the fraud case. However, he was today supposed to return to the Anti-Corruption Unit for further interrogation only to disclose to the unit that he was unwell.

Pastor Mondo attaches his woes on giving Bobi Wine a platform while at Pastor Augustine Yiga’s vigil about three weeks ago. He has been on the low of late ever since he was granted a police bond.

We wish you a quick recovery Pastor.
