Covid-19: Uganda registers more recoveries than fresh cases in one day

Uganda has once again registered more COVID-19 recoveries than new cases in one day. Yesterday 559 new cases were reported while the recoveries were 809.

More good news today indicates that 897 persons have won battle for the deadly virus. This takes the total number of recoveries to 60,392.

Yesterday the ministry of health revealed that congestion in hospitals for COVID-19 patients has reduced since cases are also going down. The ministry has reported 615 new cases today. The cumulative confirmed cases are 86,755.

Uganda’s positivity rate now stands at 11.6%. Meanwhile 28 new deaths have been registered taking the total deaths to 2090.
