Electronic gadgets are appliances that work on technology or electronic technology. Electronic devices include things like motors, loudspeakers, headphones, and generators among other devices.

Job Wendo, a primary six dropout who is 19 years old, appears to be defying the odds by using his natural intelligence to develop devices, despite the fact that the development of electronics requires so much physics and electrical engineering.

Due to his parents’ inability to cover his school fees, Wendo, who was studying at Good Hope in Kimbejja Kira Municipality, dropped out of school.

Wendo claimed that he had always desired to work in the electronics business because his father ran a workshop that performed such repairs.

“I, therefore, began working as a casual laborer at construction sites after quitting school in order to raise money to advance my idea of producing my own electronics,” said Wendo.

Wendo revealed that the first device he intended to build was a power inverter.

“I was able to acquire the necessary supplies. I created a power inverter in 2020 that converts 12V DC power to 110V AC,” he explained.

Sadly, a friend who accepted it and said he would give him Shs30k did not pay.

“Nevertheless, I appreciated that someone liked my debut item,” he said.

Wendo managed to purchase the fundamental tools, such as a drill machine, soldering guns, and soldiering wires, using money saved from his part-time employment.

He has so far developed several devices like a self-defense electric taser, Bluetooth speaker, and wireless chargers among other things.

“When I create something, I let a friend know that I’ve done something special and give them the item so they can show other people,” he said.

Despite facing the challenge of getting the necessary materials, Wendo dreams of developing a mobile phone that he thinks will be a game-changer in his field of innovation.
