State minister for water commissioned a sh13.5b Gomba-Kyabadaza water supply and sanitation system in Butambala district but to his shock, there was no water flow. On opening the tap, there was no drop of water!
“I will not leave this place without seeing water flowing. Why do you waste my time to come here?” Kibuule said. “I cannot leave this place without water,” New Vision quoted the minister.
“Amazzi wegali, tegaliwo?” Kibuule asked in Luganda, loosely translated as “Is there water or it is not there?”
After the disappointment, Kibuule turned to the residents, who who reported that they had not seen a drop of water for three days.Nonetheless, the minister went ahead to commission the project.
