Uganda’s joint bid to host 2027 AFCON sparks viral memes on social media

Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania have become the first nations to secure qualification for the 2027 African Cup of Nations (AFCON). The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the three East African countries as joint winners and hosts of the prestigious continental tournament come 2027.

As usual, Ugandans have added a touch of humour to the news, and social media is currently abuzz with numerous memes capturing their anticipation for what the situation might be like in 2027.
