The conversation was sparked by radio personality Emeka, also known as The Romantic Mukiga. Emeka posted a tweet asking, “What has been your worst experience with housemaids?”
Responses poured in, with users flooding the comment sections to share their experiences.
@ReignNathaniel recounted a harrowing incident from 2017 in Mbale. He revealed how a maid colluded with thieves, allowing them entry into their house at night, leaving it stripped of valuables.
@ShirifaTwesigye chimed in with a similar tale involving her aunt. A maid, in cahoots with her boyfriend, orchestrated a robbery scheme.
“She let the boyfriend hide in the garage. They closed the house to sleep with a stranger inside. In the wee hours of the night, he robbed them clean,” she shared.
Troney256 shared a bizarre encounter of finding his maid dancing naked in front of his two-year-old nephew.
@Liverpool Saint had a funny but sad experience. Their maid took their stuff and put it in their suitcase. Then, she wore the wife’s clothes and left.
