Late preacher JB Mukajanga of JB Fire Ministries passed away on Saturday morning. His driver one Battu Kintu narrates his final moments.

According to the driver, Mukajanga first felt unwell at his offices at Jemba Plaza on Luwum Street where he used to conduct daily prayer sessions under his JB Fire Ministry.

“On Thursday he was feeling some dizziness, but he told us he will be okay. We asked him whether he would be able to preach and he said yes. And he went and preached very well and we went with him,” Kintu said.

“We reached somewhere and he told me to drive. I drove him to Akright where he sleeps. He was supposed to shoot a video with some Congolese the next day. He told me that if he is okay, he would should. On Friday morning, I called him and he told me he was fine, but he would not be able to shoot the video,” Kintu narrated.

“I talked to him at 12.14am and he told me he was fine. He said, ‘Tomorrow we are supposed to go to office and do our work’.”

“I was like are you not sick and he said he was very fine and would call me in the morning. At around 5am I found two missed calls. One from Okurut and another from Mukyala Mutebi. Okurut said, ‘Papa is dead.’ I rushed to Akright and found him dead.”

“Okurut said, ‘We found him shouting and struggling and he passed away after two minutes.’” Kintu narrated.

The driver revealed that Mukajanga was first taken ill three months ago.

“Actually about three months ago he fell sick. He had fatigue and he said he would be fine and he became fine. He had no problem.”

Mulago Hospital is yet to release a post mortem indicating the cause of his death.

He will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Prayer Centre Bukalango, this Sunday.
