Catholic Charismatic preacher JB Mukajanga passed away in the wee hours of Saturday morning, but hardly had he breathed his last than his family started fighting for his property.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Patrick Onyango, relatives have been bickering over Mukanja’s vehicle, a white Toyota Landcruiser VX, reg.no. UAV 489U.
“They are all saying I am the one supposed to own it,” Onyango said.
The vehicle is now being kept at Kajjansi Police station until further notice.
Meanwhile there have been rumours of poisoning, though Mukajanga’s driver one Battu Kintu says he first fell ill three months ago.
The body was at Mulago Hosptial mortuary on Saturday, while medics carried out a post mortem.
Mukajanga will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Prayer centre Bukalango, in Wakiso district, where he was a preacher.
